NH Loves Poetry!

New Hampshire Poet Laureate Alexandria Peary wanted to know about the publications of Granite State Poets and embarked on a project to learn about them. Here is how she described the project:

At the tail end of the year, I conducted a 2021 NH Poetry Census to pin down the amount of creative production happening in the Granite State. The results of the census are in, and they are remarkable: 28 books and 215+ individual poem publications in literary magazines, newspapers, and on blogs, as self-reported by the state’s writers. This list demonstrates every NH poet’s achievement: an achievement that started with the courage it takes to press the "Submit" button.

Beginning on Valentine's Day 2022 and continuing until we have gone through the whole census we will be featuring a new book by a Granite State poet each day here on Book Notes NH. If you can't wait, you can see the full list on Alex's blog.

If you would like to share this celebration on your own website or blog please feel free to use the image above and link it to  https://nhbookcenter.blogspot.com/search/label/NHlovespoetry which will bring up each day's post as it is published.
