Due
to the snowstorm and in the interest of attendee safety, NHWP had to
cancel Writers' Day. They will be in touch shortly with attendees by
email about refunds.
Several items of potential interest to Book Notes readers were in my email this morning.
- The launch party for Bull by David Elliot that was scheduled for tonight at Gibson's has been postponed until next Friday, April 7 due to impending snow.
- As of now, the NH Writers' Project will go forward with Writers' Day on Saturday with a DELAYED start time of 10am. Ann Hood's keynote address will now begin at 10:30. Emails went out to NHWP members from NHWP Board with details. If the situations changes Writers' Day registrants will be notified via email by 5am on Saturday April 1. Updates will also be found on the NHWP Facebook page.
- The New Hampshire Institute of Art Storytelling Festival will take place on April 8, 2017 at 148 Concord St, Manchester, NH. The event will feature a variety of forms of storytelling and will be emceed by NHPR’s Virginia Prescott. This event is free and open to the public.
- Colorado Humanities has announced the finalists for the Colorado Book Award and among them is Breaking Wild by Diane Les Becquets, winner of the NH Literary Award for Fiction this past fall.
