NH Poetry: European Romantic Poetry

J. Kates lives in Fitzwilliam. His most recent chapbook of poems is Metes and Bounds (from Accents Publishing) and he has a full book coming out with Hobblebush Books in the fall and is an editorial co-director of Zephyr Press. He recommends European Romantic Poetry, Michael Ferber, editor, published in 2005 by Longman.
"Michael Ferber is a professor at the University of New Hampshire, and his collection of European Romantic poetry (many of the poems translated by Ferber himself) is the only such broad anthology of poems from across Europe, linking the well known English-language Romantic poets with their counterparts from France to Russia. The poetry is good, the translations are reliable, and the connections are invaluable." --J. Kates
This post is part of our celebration of National Poetry Month 2012 for which I asked New Hampshire poets and booksellers to recommend books of poetry by Granite State poets. These titles are generally available from local booksellers and may be held in public libraries as well.
