NH Book Festival: Picture Books!

This author-illustrator spotlight program will be held on the KidLit Stage in the NH Book Festival Village on South Main Street, beginning at 9am on Saturday, 10/5/2024. It will be moderated by Marty Kelley and will feature: 

Author and illustrator, Lita Judge, has written over 35 nonfiction and fiction books, including Mary’s Monster, Red Sled, Flight School, DOGS, A history of Our Best Friends, and Don’t Worry, Wuddles. Awards for her books include the International Reading Association Award, ALA Notable, NCTE Notable Book, Kirkus Best Book, and the Jane Addams Honor. Her book, Flight School, was adapted into an off-Broadway musical. She makes her home in Peterborough, NH.

Jennifer Goldfinger is the author and illustrator of Hello, My Name Is Tiger; My Dog Lyle; and A Fish Named Spot, and the illustrator of Linda Hayward’s The King’s Chorus and Charlie Thomas’s I Need Glasses. She is also a fine artist whose work has been featured in galleries and museums throughout the USA. She lives in Portland, Maine. Her new book is Daisy the Daydreamer.

Maryann Cocca-Leffler is an award-winning author and illustrator of over 70 books for children.  A Kirkus reviewer said of Maryann; “Cocca-Leffler knows children inside and out.” Maryann grew up in the Boston area and has a BFA in illustration from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. She enjoys visiting schools (both in person and virtually) to promote literacy and share her books with children. Maryann happily lives and works in Portland, Maine, (though her Boston accent travels with her wherever she goes.) Her latest book is Don't Ask Cat.
