#Friday56

The Friday 56 is hosted at Freda's Voice and the rules are simple:

  • Grab a book, any book
  • Turn to Page 56 or 56% in your Ereader (If you want to improvise, go ahead!)
  • Find a snippet, but no spoilers!
  • Post the snippet to your blog and add your post url to the Linky at the host site

Here on NH Book Notes I am adding the rule that the book has to be by a NH author.

From The Boss of Hampton Beach by Jed Power:

"Slowly the puzzle began to slip into place. Shamrock hadn't been trying to get Dan to talk about the past this morning. The Irishman had been talking about the future--a future that suddenly looked pretty dicey if Dan was doing his math right."

I am not aware, usually, of where authors live or where they harken from. How do you find out that information?

Working for the NH State Library for 20+ years certainly helps me know which authors are from NH. Generally though, you can often find this info on the book jacket or on the author's website.
