NH Poetry: Lovers of the Lost

Amber Rose Crowtree recommends Lovers of the Lost, New & Selected Poems by Wesley McNair (David R. Godine, 2010)

Why?
Reading Wes McNair’s poems helps cure my woes, past and/or present, by-way-of sincere laughter, or a good cry.  In his poems, and in person, he inspires the bravery to know cruelty yet live in love.

Amber Rose Crowtree has lived lived in New Hampshire for over a decade and is an award-winning poet originally from Maine.  Her debut chapbook, Harboring the Imperfect is due through Dancing Girl Press in Spring, 2021 and a chapbook, The Inviolable Hours, is available for pre-publication purchase through Finishing Line Press July 12, 2021.

This post is part of our celebration of National Poetry Month 2021 for which I asked New Hampshire poets to recommend books of poetry by Granite State poets. These titles are generally available from local booksellers and may be held in public libraries as well.
