The International DUBLIN Literary Award has announced the 2019 Longlist. These are books of high literary merit published in English in 2017. This list includes the nominees from the NH Dublin Committee.
The International DUBLIN Literary Award is presented annually for a
novel written in English or translated into English. The Award is
sponsored by Dublin City Council, the municipal government of Dublin (Ireland),
and administered by Dublin City Public Libraries. The Award aims to
promote excellence in world literature. Nominations are submitted by
library systems in major cities throughout the world. The award is now
in its 23rd year. The prize is €100,000 which is awarded to the author if the book is
written in English. If the winning book is in English translation, the
author receives €75,000 and the translator, €25,000.
