Memoir and Memory at Gibson's

Author panel, Thursday, November 6, 7 PM at Gibson's
"Curious about memoir, and memory as a theme in literature? Want to meet four great authors? Like cookies and chocolate? Come to the store on Thursday, November 6! Some of the best writers in New England join us for an event centered on memory, grief, history, family.
Join us Thursday at 7pm for a unique and festive event! Four remarkable authors—Ann Hood (Comfort, The Knitting Circle, The Italian Wife), Helen Peppe (Pigs Can’t Swim: A Memoir), Richard Hoffman (Love & Fury; Half the House: A Memoir) and Suzanne Strempek Shea (This is Paradise: An Irish Mother’s Grief, an African Village’s Plight and the Medical Clinic that Brought Fresh Hope to Both) will come together at Gibson’s to share their books and talk about their writing experiences. Just in time for the holidays, they’ll answer your questions over cookies and chocolates, give away a few fun items, and give you great gift ideas for some of the people on your holiday shopping list. (Of course, you may find you want to read these authors’ books first before you give them away!) Fun and laughter will be the order of the evening, even though their themes are very serious--grief, history, memory, family"
