The Old Farmer's Almanac has been published in Dublin, NH since 1792, and speaks "to all walks of
life: tide tables for those who live near the ocean; sunrise and
planting charts for those who live on the farm; recipes for those who
live in the kitchen; and forecasts for those who don't like the question
of weather left up in the air.
The Almanac, North America's oldest continuously published
periodical, comes out every year in September. The latest edition is on
sale now wherever magazines and books are sold." (quoted from almanac.com)
This last week of September 2014 is expected, according to the almanac, to be sunny and warm in NH. Looking to use up all those tomatoes filling gardens this time of year? The almanac also includes recipes.
To learn more about the almanac you can watch a documentary about it, or listen to the story NPR's All Things Considered did on it recently.
