- Toadstool Bookshop, Milford is hosting a talk with Carrie Cariello, author of What Color is Monday?: How Autism Changed One Family for the Better at 7pm.
- Howard Mansfield will be at Water Street Bookstore at 7pm with his latest book Dwelling in Possibility.
- There will be a Poetry Society of NH reading and open mic at Gibson's beginning at 7pm. Featured readers will be S. Stephanie, Pat Frisella, and Stephen Scaer.
- John Hanson Mitchell, author of An Eden of Sorts: The Natural History of My Feral Garden will be speaking at River Run staring at 7pm.
- Katharine Britton will be at Gibson's at 7pm to talk about her new novel Little Island.
- Archer Mayor will be at the featured author at Bayswater's Tea & Talk event being held at Lavinia's in Center Harbor at 4pm (this is a ticketed event).
- As part of the NH Film Festival (NHFF) festivities, Susan Kim and Laurence Klavan will be at River Run discussing their book Wasteland! starting at 5:30pm.
- Also as part of the NHFF the film Labor Day, based on the novel by Joyce Maynard (who is expected to be there), will have its New England premier at the Music Hall’s Historic Theater at 8:15 p.m. (followed by Q&A), the film will screen again on Sunday October 20 at 7:10 p.m.
- Edie Clark will be at Toadstool Bookshop, Milford to talk about her latest book, What There Was Not to Tell, at 2pm.
- Beginning at 2pm White Birch Books will host Renee Mallett talking about her book Haunted Colleges and Universities of Massachusetts.
- The Victorian is a tale of a haunted mansion, and folklorist Eric Stanway will be at Toadstool Bookshop, Peterborough at 11am to tell you about it.
