Ladybug Nominee Profile

Monica Carnesi's charming book was inspired by a true story. A little dog was seen floating adrift on an ice floe in the Vistula River, the longest river in Poland.  Days later he is rescued by the crew of the R/V Baltica who adopted him (his original owner couldn't be found) and named him Baltic.
