Annual Holiday Books Show

Yesterday on NHPR Michael Herrmann of Gibson's Bookstore and Dan Chartrand of Water Street Bookstore were on The Exchange for the Annual Holiday Books Show. If your looking for a book to read or to give this holiday season there are a lot of them discussed on the program (and listed on the website).

As is often the case, I seem to be reading different books, my favorites of 2012 weren't mentioned (and several that were mentioned I hadn't come across so onto the to-be-read list they go). I would add The Chaperone by Laura Moriarty, Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walter, Tell the Wolves I'm Home by Carol Rifka Brunt, and Redshirts by John Scalzi to the lists of novels worth a look.
