Princess Hyacinth (the Surprising Tale of a Girl Who Floated) by Florence Parry Heide and illustrated by Lane Smith was selected by New Hampshire children, from preschoolers to third graders, as the winner of the 2010 Ladybug Picture Book Award.There were 18,193 votes cast by children across the state this year at over 100 voting sites.
