Tuttle's Red Barn: The Story of America's Oldest Family Farm by Richard Michelson; illustrated by Mary Azarian. (New York: G.P. Putnam's Sons, c2007).
In 1632 John Tuttle came to Dover, New Hampshire and began what is today the country's oldest continuing family farm. The story of the 11 generations of Tuttles who have lived and worked on the farm, and the history that they were part of, is depicted in this beautiful picture book. Abraham Lincoln, whose birthday is today, (February 12) bought maple syrup from the farm when he visited the Granite State.
