As part of its 50th Anniversary celebration The New Hampshire Library Trustees Association, is presenting a lecture at the Fiske Free Library on Thursday, July 19th at 2pm, by historian Jeffrey Smith portraying Andrew Carnegie.
In his lifetime, Andrew Carnegie funded 1,679 public libraries in 1,142 American communities. In New Hampshire, he funded libraries in Berlin, Claremont, Dover, Franklin, Lebanon, Littleton, Raymond, Rochester, and Whitefield. This lecture is one of a series presented at four of these libraries-Franklin, Littleton, Whitefield, and the Fiske Free Library in Claremont.
