Choosing the book for this week was easy because this past Saturday I was lucky enough to spend my day with world-renowned author and quilting teacher Carol Doak learning how to paper piece "sensational 9-patch stars." Carol lives in Windham, NH and is the author of many books on quilting including Easy Machine Paper Piecing which in 1999 was named by Quilter's Newsletter Magazine as one of the 30 most influential quilting books of the past 30 years.
