NH Poetry: The Truth About Death

Mimi White recommends The Truth About Death by Grace Mattern (TurningPoint, 2012)
"This book is a fierce and fast-paced elegy recounting the year following the death of the poet’s husband.   What I love best about this book is how the musical language brings us and Grace to our knees over and over again and yet we want more of everything, life, death, and grief." --Mimi White
Mimi White’s most recent book, Memory Won’t Save Me, a haibun, was recently nominated for a Pushcart.  Mimi is currently working on children’s books and a new collection of poems.  She has lived in Rye, NH for 40 years.

This post is part of our celebration of National Poetry Month 2013 for which I asked New Hampshire poets and booksellers to recommend books of poetry by Granite State poets. These titles are generally available from local booksellers and may be held in public libraries as well.
