NH Poetry: In Touch with Space

Kate Leigh recommends In Touch with Space by Chilson H. Leonard (Exeter, N.H.: Phillips Exeter Academy, 1967).
"Mr. Leonard spent his career teaching literature at Philips Exeter. He was a great admirer of Robert Frost. His own poetry was inspired by roughing it in the back woods of New Hampshire at his farm in Barrington." --Kate Leigh
Kate Leigh, grand-daughter to Mr. Leonard, is the author of Dances With Light: Isles of Shoals Poems. She lives in Portsmouth, NH.
A note of historical interest, Mr. Leonard was Donald Hall's teacher.
This post is part of our celebration of National Poetry Month 2013 for which I asked New Hampshire poets and booksellers to recommend books of poetry by Granite State poets. These titles are generally available from local booksellers and may be held in public libraries as well.
