Book of the Week #47

Drive-through Window: Poems by Barbara Bald (Alton: NH, Barbara Bald, 2012)

Last April when I asked New Hampshire poets to recommend books of poetry by other NH poets, Scott T. Hutchison recommended this book  Because he had read an advance copy and the book wasn't available yet I didn't include it in the project.
"Bald's work is deeply connected--to nature, to the past, to the human condition. The poems reach for those connections, and in doing so, join hands with the reader. This is a collection of reverence, and Bald is, thankfully, nothing less than both skillful and honest."  --Scott T. Hutchison
To get a sense of Barbara Bald's work, check out this video of  a reading she did at Exeter Town Hall.
