from the Director of the Center for the Book at the New Hampshire State Library
Book of the Week #22
Communities & Consequences: The Unbalancing of New Hampshire's Human Ecology, & What We Can Do About It by Peter Francese and Lorraine Stuart Merrill (Peter Randall Publisher, 2008)
The goal of this book is "to foster a statewide conversation that will result in greater understanding and motivation to change -- to restore generational balance and social capital." (p. xv) In addition to the book there is a website and a film that are part of this conversation.
Center for the Book at the New Hampshire State Library
Established in 2003 it is the mission of the Center to celebrate and promote reading, books, literacy, and the literary heritage of New Hampshire and to highlight the role that reading and libraries play in enriching the lives of the people of the Granite State.
