NH Book Festival: Graphic Novel Spotlight

This spotlight conversation will be held on the KidLit Stage in the NH Book Festival Village on South Main Street, beginning at 2:20pm on Saturday, 10/5/2024. It will hosted by David Elliott and will feature Matt Tavares & Jannie Ho.

Jannie Ho (pronounced Jane-nee) writes and illustrates children’s books. She is also a cartoonist for Chickengirl comics, in which she draws herself as a neurotic hen observing the details of everyday life. She makes her home, with her mathematician husband and daughter, near Boston where she grumbles every winter about the snow and the cold.

Matt Tavares is the author-illustrator of numerous acclaimed picture books, including Becoming Babe Ruth, Growing Up Pedro, and other sports biographies, and is the illustrator of Twenty-One Steps: Guarding the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier by Jeff Gottesfeld, among many other titles. Hoops is his first graphic novel and a story dear to his heart as the father of two sports-loving girls. He lives in Maine.

The NH Book Festival begins in 7 Days!
