Ladybug Nominee Profile

Gianna Marino wrote and illustrated this story about two neighbors, a rabbit and an owl, whose attempts to out-do each other lead them both to trouble. The story reads like a fable and teaches a lesson about cooperation. The illustrations, which are very detailed, were created with pencil and gouache.

This is one of the ten titles nominated for the 2013 Ladybug Picture Book Award.
