Ladybug Nominee Profile

Lots of animals large and small make their winter homes in the snow. Kate Messner, a school teacher who lives on Lake Champlain, wrote this story about a day skiing in the woods where these creatures live. Christopher Silas Neal, a Brooklyn artist, illustrated the book.

This is one of the ten titles nominated for the 2013 Ladybug Picture Book Award.
