Happy Birthday John Irving!

Author John Irving was born on March 2, 1942 in Exeter, NH.
His first novel was The World According to Garp for which he won the National Book Award in 1980. He was profiled in the Academy of Achievement and was interviewed last summer by The Economist. His latest novel is In One Person.

    Garp was his first successful novel but was actually his 4th published novel following Setting Free the Bears, The Water-Method Man, and The 158 Pound Marriage.
