As we approach the end of the calendar year various "best books of the year" lists are starting to turn up. The New York Times has published several so far including
100 Notable Books of 2008, and
Books That Tower Above the Rest. If you want a British spin on things there is the Times Literary Supplement's
Books of the Year 2008.
National Public Radio has some lists, the
GoodReads site has a list you can vote on if you are so inclined, and
Publishers Weekly has a list. Which lists do you find useful (if any) in choosing which books to read? What book was your best of the year? Add a comment and let me know.
